I never mentioned if I was on a diet or not. All I have to say is... not. I havent changed my diet too much besides cutting most soda and I'm trying not to snack between meals. My breakfasts are a must, or else I'll feel sick throughout the day. I usually have toast with peanut butter and tea. Tea is my new thing. I haven't sipped coffee probably since the last Coolatta of the season back in September. Sometimes I'll switch up my breakfasts with my favorite cereals including Special K Fruit and Yogurt (SO yummy), Cheerios, Raisin Bran or Oatmeal squares. I haven't had that nasty sugary kids cereal in a long while. Lunch's are generally skipped (which I know is bad!) but I have such a busy schedule during the day that I just have no time for lunch. Dinners consist of my mothers latest craze : Skinnytaste.com -- DELICIOUS recipes. My favorites are the Turkey Chili Taco Soup , Crock Pot Sante Fe Chicken and (just tried this last night) Pasta with Roasted Broccoli. Seriously, her recipes are to die for.
I'm seriously thinking about going on a true diet as I'm not seeing much change since I've started (besides the two pounds). I feel like it would be so much easier for me to diet if I had my own place and bought my own food. I understand that, then, I would be paying for it (obviously) but hey it could work. Now if only I had the cash for monthly rent. It could be done if I never used heat or water or electricty and didn't buy furniture or have a cell phone or car. Hmmmm.....
Nevermind.
Anyway my new plan as of today - or tomorrow (fresh start;) is to cut and count calories, drink more water, and stop snacking!! I will post my daily intake here. Not necessarily for you - but mostly for me to keep myself tracking.
See you soon! Don't be trashy.
P.S. I got a sports bra.
Actually, maybe.

Ahhrhfhgksjdhfglks I just had at least five paragraphs written and of course my browser froze and now I've got nothing. Unbelievable, I'm so angry. My computers been freezing on me a lot lately. Well lets try to remember what I wrote..... :(
I've obviously been pretty bad about updating as you can tell. Its been 17 days since my last post. I have been good, though, about exercising just about everyday and so I'm proud of myself for that much. The first weekend I started I went to Boston for a friends birthday and though I could've done it in the morning, I didn't. I'm still kicking myself in the butt for it because the next day I had to work for 9 hours straight and by the time I got home, I was defeated. Also that Thursday I had a (wonderfully pregnant) friend over so I had no time to do it that night. Albeit, keeping up with her stories were a good enough workout for me (mentally).
I really love the way Jillian does her routines. There are three levels in the Shred, and in each of those levels she does circuit training which includes a circuit for abs, strength, cardio, a warm up and a cool down. The levels typically last about 25 minutes, yes I've gone through each level at least once. The first level I felt I sweat so much more than the second, but that doesn't mean the second's easier. Each gets harder. I've been following the "beginner" Anita for the most part. When I'm feeling extra strong I follow the other girl, which for some reason I can't remember her name. It doesn't matter anyway. I use 3lb weights for the harder moves, but I do have 5 pounders that I try to squeeze in there when I can.
I have to do the workout in my room because the TV's on 24/7 (honestly I don't watch a lot of TV besides Desperate Housewives and American Idol) and the entire house shakes and everyone can hear me jumping and panting upstairs. Oh well. They don't seem to mind those twenty minutes of the ceiling light swinging and jerking around with each jump.
I wish I had taken my measurements before I had even started but I couldn't find a measuring tape anywhere, but found one today finally. My measurements as of today are:
Below bust: 36"
Waist: 31"
Hips: 38"
Legs: both 24"
Biceps: both 12"
Weight: 166.7
Dress size: 10-12
As you can see the hip and waist is another thing I'm adding to my motivation list. Let's whittle that waist. I've seen no changes in my appearance, but I have lost two pounds since the first week which is exciting. It was funny because after the first week I thought I lost five pounds. I was so happy and overexcited that I told both my sister and boyfriend - then realized later that I had weighed myself without clothes. So upset. But still, two pounds lost is better than two pounds gained! 1-2 pounds lost per week is the healthy range. Jillian's shred says the routines can help lose 20 pounds in those thirty days but I'm obviously not looking at that to be realistic. I AM looking to lose 20 pounds, but that's just in my 'eventually' to do list. I want to lose 10 pounds by summer. I have size 8 jeans that I would just LOVE to fit into soon.
I am also much more energized since I've started the shred. Usually I get home from class or work thinking about going to take a 5 hour nap, but I choose to exercise. After I finish I feel so accomplished and I forget about that nap and go downstairs to do homework. By homework I mean click the Stumble button for hours before bed. Close enough.
Well, hope to see you soon! Keep it classy.

Gotta Love Jillian Michaels
I like to think my job is a pretty physical job. We lift things, throw things, and stock things as fast as we can. By the time my shift is over I'm ready for bed. But even all that so-called 'exercise' is not enough to keep me in shape (though I wish it was... don't we all?)
Last week I had a meeting for my Health and Fitness class. We had to speed walk a mile among other things. It reminded me how much I love to walk and run -- though I could barely run two laps without feeling like my heart was going to leap out of my chest. Lately I've noticed myself getting winded going up a couple flights of stairs at school and it surprises me. Obviously, it shouldn't because I'm not active at all. All of this brought me to the point where I was like "Enough already. Just DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT."
And believe it or not, it worked. That weekend I bought myself two sets of hand weights from our local Five Below, and a yoga mat. I researched the best video to workout to and see results. I found Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. I've always loved Jillian. I've watched Biggest Loser and Losing It and loved the way she motivates the people on her show. She scares my boyfriend. Gotta love it.
So I googled this DVD and found that Amazon sells the Levels separately for $1.99! What a deal. So I bought it and watched it once through to see what I was getting myself into (read the reviews on Amazon). I watched and thought "Hell, I can do this!" So I got my gear on sans sports bra (big mistake) and tried it out. I'll let you know how it went in the next update.
